Heirloom Yirgacheffe Gr.2 – Gedeb

This coffee comes from the Gedeb area in the Yirgacheffe region, one of Ethiopia’s most sought-after coffee-growing regions known for its expressive aromatics and floral character. Smallholder farmers cultivate traditional heirloom varieties at very high elevations, where the slow cherry maturation contributes to dense beans and a complex flavour profile. The washed processing highlights the coffee’s clarity and the bright, vibrant acidity typical of the region. In the cup, you can expect notes of bergamot, jasmine, and sweet peach, complemented by delicate citrus nuances. During roasting, we chose a lighter profile to preserve the coffee’s floral elegance and juicy character, allowing its qualities to shine best as a filter brew.
