This Norman Boozy W1 lot comes from the Imbalu Coffee project in the Bugisu region on the slopes of Mount Elgon in Uganda, where producers focus on modern and carefully controlled fermentation methods. The processing is what gives this coffee its distinctive “boozy” character and remarkably intense fruit profile. In the cup, you can expect notes of raspberry and cherry, complemented by a sweetness reminiscent of rum and ripe tropical fruit, while the profile remains surprisingly clean and balanced. During roasting, we focused on preserving the lot’s juiciness and aromatic complexity to highlight its natural sweetness and fermentation character. The result is a bold and expressive coffee that performs beautifully as a filter brew and also stands out as a modern fruit-forward espresso.
